Rae Sunshine is both a master orator and trained singer, dancer, and performer. Born in Cape-Haitian, Haiti, Rae lived in Queens, Long Island, Atlanta, and Syracuse. In Atlanta, she studied music and media at Dekalb School of the Arts. In New York, she discovered spokenword and mentored poets at Syracuse University’s Verbal Blend program. She became a forming member of The Underground Poetry Spot and is an honorary member of Nu Rho Poetic Society.
Rae is now a regular performer opening for Def Jam Artists Malik Yusef, HBO Def Poets: Shihan Van Clief, Beau Sia, Tamika “Georgia Me” Harper and Dana Gilmore; orated with Symphoria Symphony Orchestra, and performed in Syracuse’s Carrier Dome. She is sought after for commissions and coaching.

Simone “Symphonie” Owens is a vocalist, spoken word and visual artist from Syracuse, New York. Her stage name was given as her peers observed her ability to connect her love of music with everyday situations. In her early years as a poet, she was a member of the Syracuse poetry group: The Underground Poets.
Symphonie has since gone on to perform on stages such as The National Poetry Slam (NPS), tour across the country performing, and publish her debut collection of poetry, Semi-Colon.
Symphonie also is a visual artist who pours all of her art mediums into expressing her innermost thoughts and captivate audiences while also creating safe spaces of freedom and love.
